About the client: Balvac is one of the UK’s leading specialist contractors undertaking the repair, strengthening and refurbishment of civil structures and buildings. Balvac operates in all main market sectors, including highways, rail, power, utilities, public and private commercial, marine, industrial and heritage, and the company has successfully delivered a large number of technically demanding projects to a range of leading clients.

Our role: we were called on to undertake design, artwork and illustration of various marketing materials – and since we were obliged to use the client’s photography (taken by site engineers and varying in quality), we used duotones to make the photography consistent and to give the marketing materials a dramatic, eye-catching visual quality.
